Students in Community Health 210: Community Health Organizations donated cash, food, and other items to the Eastern Illinois Food Bank that will provide more than 20,000 meals within the local community. The project was the brainchild of Miranda Sue Terry, who co-taught the course with Dr. Stephen Notaro. “I’m glad that he gave me the opportunity to attempt this project last semester as I learned a lot to help guide student this semester,” Miranda said. “It ended up being a huge success.” The spring semester effort more than doubled the results of the fall semester, with more than 2400 food items and nearly $3000 donated.
