AHS Receives New Professorship
University of Illinois alumni Saul Morse and Anne Morgan have endowed a new professorship in the College of Applied Health Sciences, the Saul J. Morse and Anne B.
Morgan Professorship in Applied Health Sciences. The purpose of the professorship will be to address issues related to health, aging, and disability.
Mr. Morse earned a bachelor’s degree in history in 1969 and a Juris Doctor in 1972, both from Illinois. His career has been in state and federal government agencies as
well as in private law practice. He is currently with Brown, Hay & Stephens, LLP, in Springfield.
A 1972 psychology graduate of Muskingum College in Ohio, Ms. Morgan completed two degrees in clinical psychology at the University of North Dakota—a master’s degree in
1975 and a doctoral degree in 1978. A licensed clinical psychologist, she has practiced in healthcare centers and hospitals in North Dakota and Minnesota, and founded the
Health Care Psychology Department at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She retired from practice in 2011.
