AHS Alum among Illini Comeback Guests

Roy ("Bud") Strom retired brigadier general in the U.S Army, Arizona cattle rancher, and acclaimed cowboy poet will be among this year's Comeback Guests. Mr. Strom completed his bachelor's degree in physical education in 1954.

The Illini Comeback program honors prominent and accomplished alumni, who return to campus to meet with students, faculty, and staff in both formal and informal settings. Mr. Strom, for example, will visit and give a presentation in a pedagogy class in the Department of Kinesiology and Community Health. Comeback Guests also participate in the halftime show at the Homecoming football game. The program is coordinated by the Student Alumni Ambassadors and sponsored by the UI Alumni Association.

Look for an in-depth story on Bud Strom in the next issue of AHS E-News.
